Shimizu runs around the keep, it was big, he could tell. Shimizu wasn't made for endurance. He could run fast, but not for very long. He began to speed up. He passed Calypso, yelling, "TEN!" he then continued.
After a few minutes, he was on his 25th lap. He was starting to get tired, but he was barely over half way, so he sped up to go as fast as he could. Shimizu was fast, but he could feel the strain in his legs. By the time he got to 30, Dedomi had finished his 20.
Shimizu was heaving now, he ignored the pain in his chest, which wasn't that big yet. He began to slow down, but he didn't stop. By the time he got to 40, he was heaving pretty heavily. He stopped by Calypso, "Forty..." he was bent over himself, hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. This would get easier with time, he hoped.

Calypso chuckled at Dedomi's antics, playing small, amusing tricks. He was, at first, surprised, that Dedomi had been right as rain turning the corner, but the situation soon explained itself. Calypso scratched another mark into the sand for Dedomi. 3.
Calypso watched Shimizu take off at a quick pace, set for 40 laps. Calypso knew that Shimizu wasn't well versed in self assessment, and would tire far too quickly, at his so called 'paced rate'. He wasn't one with endurance. Or stamina.
Calypso could be seen with a dumb-bell in hand by the time Dedomi reached the 'finish line'. "Betcha don't have forty fingers." Calypso comments to Dedomi on his 'finger lap count'.
"Good job on those laps, though. And I think you should take tomorrow off, I doubt you'll be able to feel your legs."
Calypso had observed Shimizu's strategy on running. Very clever, doing it all before he had become too tired. As quick as possible, but that was not how it was to be done.
"Are you playing here? Shimizu? If it's training you want, you're going to do it right. You asked me, not yourself. So, tomorrow, you're going to have to jog it, not for 40 laps, but for 40 minutes, twice as long as it took you today. You are not setting time records, you're training. You may want to consider pacing yourself tomorrow. You won't get the day off."

Tommy watched the exchange between Khongol and Latias and laughed a little himself. He didn't find it particularly funny, but Latias' laughter seemed contagious and Tommy could help it. He dropped from the bar and stood facing the two. He smiled.
"Well, you sure can laugh can't you,...?"
Tommy crouched to the ground where Latias lay.

Khongol continues to pound into his punching bag. With each word he speaks his fist connects to the sack. "Yes... he... does... that... is... why... I... did... that... Be...sides... it... was... FUN." The last word sounds harsh and loud because he put his entire body into a ferocious roundhouse that send the bag swinging hard to end his running combo of punches.
With his body dripping sweat he grabs a towel and wipes some off, so his skin is moist. He throws it into an empty basket nearby and says I'll be back in a while. He walks out of the room and when alone he allows a slight shiver. He was chilled from the sweat.
He gets his water sack from his room and strings it over his shoulder and across his chest after filling it. He goes outside on the keep and sees the runners finishing. 'Good, I should be alone... hold on a second. Better thought.'
"Hey, Calypso, if you are done playing with them care to take a jog around this thing for a while with me?" He waits for a reply before starting in a comfortible jogging pace.

Tommy turned away from the group. He was going to leave. It was enough for now. He walked over to the chair, and was about to take his clothes off of it when he realized he had a bit of sweat on him. He would jump in a river or something before puting his clothes back on.
Coat tucked under his arm, he said "later" to everyone and headed out of the training room to take a break,...

OOC: I've already reached 50...
Calypso was just finishing up with the other two, when Khongol asked for him to join the berserker in a few laps around the place himself. Why the hell not? I haven't been doing much anyway.
"Sure thing," Calypso called to Khongol. He removed his full length duster jacket, and sprinted to catch up to Khongol, and then matched pace at a jog. Calypso was strong, but not immensly so. He was well built for running, though he normally preferred flying, and thus worried that he may be getting lazy, and daily jogs himself would not be a bad idea.

Dedomi sank to the ground after slowly trying to catch his breath. Calypso said he could have the day off tommorow, and Dedomi sighed in relief. If he couldnt feel his legs now, how the HELL was he supposed to run tommorow. No... tommorow would be spent pouring over magic books once again.
Dedomi watched Calypso and Khongol jog away and sat a few moments, before finallly attempting to get up and back inside the keep.

Khongol jogs "lightly" (Dedomi would probably have thought of it as torture at the moment) with Calypso for several minutes in a silence. He slips the water sack from his chest and takes a short drink and (still jogging) offers it to the half-phoenix. He waits until after the sack is back over his chest.
"I thought you'd appreciate sometime with someone like yourself... at least a bit like yourself. We never got to talk much. Not back when we met during the Ieyama/Xander crap and not when I first joined you all here. You seem to spend alot of time in the magic-related areas. So I thought this would be a nice get away..." He thinks, 'I must be looking like a fool....' So he shuts up and focuses on the trip, the view, and any reply he gets.

Calypso jogged alongside Khongol, finding the pace they were at not to be very challenging, so maybe it would be a very long run. Calypso would have preferred a combination, but he wouldn't be able to bench press as much as Khongol, so they should let differences lie.
Calypso accepted Khongol's water and then returned it. "Yeah, I don't know too much about you, and likewise, you don't know much about me, if anything." Calypso responded while jogging. His speech wasn't too eradicated due to the movement. "But you already know the type of person I am, and I don't mind the company." Calypso thought on the matter of who he knew, and how much. "It's funny, I know Shimizu best of any in this clan, save my cousin. I think I trust him most, if I had to choose." Anyone who knew Calypso knew that trust wasn't an easy thing. Calypso had suffered a great betrayal once, and had never trusted another since.

Khongol thinks on Calypso's words (though few) for a good part of a lap. "The thing is there is two kinds of trust. A warrior's trust and a friend's trust. A warrior can trust someone to cover their back and that's it. A friend trusts until the end. All I really know about you is that a "Friend's trust" was broken. I tend to lean more on a warrior's trust more. Less risk. They betray you, you die. Game over. A friend betrays you and you end up living with that hurt."
He shuts up again and notices that neither of them are having much trouble. So he kicks up his speed a fair bit. Now his lungs bein to burn. 'Here we go. Get comfortable and then works hard... and then slow down and finish... let's see how far I can go.'

Calypso thinks on Khongol's words, concluding that the berserker would like to know more about Calypso, or was not just being indirect, and didn't want to know anything. "No, it's a combination of the two that hurt me. I misplaced a Friend's trust in a Warrior's trust situation. It was a combination of death and living in agony." Calypso decides that now is as good a time as any to tell someone what he had hidden for 600 years. He picked up speed with Khongol, knowing that this pace was still comfortable for him, if not a little exertive.
"I was a journeying mercenary. But I was doing a job for myself. I am originally from another dimension. There, the world was being destroyed by Xander. This was my first encounter with him. I was young, 100 years only, that's 1500 years agp. I sought to destroy him. On my journey, I enountered a woman with the same goal. We hit it off great. We were the same in so many ways. Everything in common. We fell in love instantly. We fought along side one another in many battle along our travels. I trusted her with all of my being, and she never let me down." Calypso sighed heavily. "When it came time for the final battle against Xander, I was to attack head on, and she would use his magic against him, and he would be trapped in and eternal hell. I attacked, and she turned and controlled his magic, all the power of that dimension, only not on him, but on me."
"I was accursedly trapped in a hellish nightmare dimension for 900 years. In those 900 years, I was tormented beyond all reason. I was forced not to die. I eventually got used to it. I was very strong willed, and powered by vengence. It only took 100 years to adapt to the suffering. After that, I trained. Hard. 800 years of training under the hardest conditions imaginable. And eventually, the dimenions walls began to fall. I don't know what the out come of the battle was, but Xander did not win."
Calypso had been extremely talkative, and had unconsciously given Khongol a sort of 'friends trust', that he had sworn he would never give another.

Khongol stops running unconsciously. He looks down, massages his eyes to collect the flood of thoughts. "Are you certain she attacked you intentionally? It sounds to me like it could have been an accident. Like you got caught in the crossfire. I have see great battle plans fail because of just one uncertainty. One mistake can be the end of a life.
"Did you ever find he again? Or was she not "blessed" with immortality. For whatever it is worth (if anything) I'm sorry it happened. Just don't let it make you bitter. Or else those who want to help you trust again and the one who loves you like a brother will suffer." He grins, "Didn't you realise that is how Quarre looks to you? You aren't her cousin. You're her big brother. Just like the rest of us... okay maybe we aren't all like her brothers... but we'd die to protect you both."
If Calypso stopped with the Barbarian, Khongol rests his hand on the half-phoenix's shoulder. "Trust is never given easily. It must be earned. And I hope to live up to the trust you just showed me... and don't worry this is between us only."
He is ready then to continue the jog.

Away from Khongol and Calypso, Shimizu sat and watched them run laps. He had complained about how he had to run the next day. He wasn't getting the day off, and he had to run for forty minutes. That would be the end of him, he was sure of it. It suddenly seemed like Dedomi had it easier. "I think Calypso hates me." he said, jokingly. He snickered, "Damn psycho phoenix. Always me. Blows me up, burns me, makes me run longer... always me." he shook his head, "Heh, oh well. I'm used to it by now." He wondered what the two were talking about...

Dedomi huffed and puffed, strained and complained the whole way back to his room where he plumped down upon his comfortable bed and instantly fell asleep. Dedomi dreamt of his old farm, his old life. He saw in the distance, fire,a burning blaze growing toward his own home. The closer it got the more rooted Dedomi was to the place he stood. He could not help it, could not stop it. People from a neighbor farm came to help, and tried to put it out, but they failed. One young man got caught on a branch and slipped. His body was soon engulfed in the flames. With this Dedomi awoke, he was not sure what time it was.

Calypso stopped with Khongol. "No, I'm sure she did it on purpose. I was blind. What I thought was love was not. After I was imprisoned in torture-eternity, I had forever to contemplate it. Do you not think that I would try to deny the facts also? But it was all so clear afterward. I had forever to think about it. Everything. Everything was so clear. I could see it all. I saw all the little deceptions she spun. It was so, so, ... I don't know. Obvious. I couldn't believe I had missed it before. I was stupid."
Calypso was filled with mixed feelings. He was angry, hurt, confused, challenged, anxious, and bitter. This always happened when he mulled over that particular event. Or that particular person. "No, she was not blessed with immortality. But immortality is hardly a blessing. More like a curse. But even the immortal fear death." That was off topic, and Calypso knew it. "It has been 1500 years since that betrayal. Making you 1500 years too late to tell me not to be bitter. I know better. But it doesn't make a difference. Not anymore."
Calypso was startled by the comment on his cousin. He knew she looked up to him, but she was devious, a fox. She was just like her mother, and Calypso despised his aunt. He couldn't trust her. Calypso was actually touched when Khongol had said that he would die to protect them both. Although, Calypso already knew that. Khongol, like others Calypso knew, were cursed to heroics, no matter what they did.
Calypso appreciated the hand on his shoulder. It was comforting, something he didn't get often. Even the accompanying words were comforting. He would consider Khongol's words carefully.
